Christmas has arrived in all its glory at our neighbour’s and P’s friends house. Ethan Erin and Eva, whom he fondly calls E1, E2 and E3 have successfully infected P with the yuletide spirit. He saw them decorate the tree and wanted to hang some ornaments of his own. So we decided to make some homemade ornaments to put on E1 E2 and E3’s tree.
I made the regular homemade play dough – flour (maida, salt and luke warm water). P kneaded them into a dough and rolled them out with great concentration, much to my surprise. We then took our cookie cutters and cut them away.
We let them air dry for a few hours – you can zap it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. Finally out came the paints, red and gold and P was more than happy to paint.
E1 E2 and E3 were mighty pleased when we gave them the ornaments and the kids immediately hung them on the tree.
